So far so good. I was trying to make a 5:30am start (yes, they are supposedly open that early) but didn't managed to get out of the apartment in time. Still, I managed to attend a pilates class and 40 minutes of cardiovascular exercise before work.
I love the pilates instructor, Ryan. He's got a great bod, has a great sense of humour and is quite possibly gay. The class he conducted was just right. He catered to everyone, from the beginner to the more advanced pilates regulars. He also went around checking everybody's poses, which to me, is very important because doing it wrongly can be injurious. I had a good session and I'm looking forward to more (though he only teaches one class at this club).
I was going to attend the yoga class at lunchtime but that didn't happen for various reasons. Still quite crudded out by work.

Impressions of FF: Day 1
I finally hauled myself to the gym together with my one week free pass. I have no idea how the platinum one differs from the other branches but I have to say, I am quite impressed. They didn't pressure me to join without trying and in fact they readily produced a temporary pass for me. It was a pretty big gym spanning 2 stories and I haven't even checked out the pool yet. All the equipment looked new and there was a personal trainer on hand (didn't know he was) - the back of his tshirt said "ask me for help", which I did because I had difficulty figuring out a machine. He was quite friendly and asked a few questions, after which he recommended I didn't try it. He got me to try an exercise but stopped short after realising I was only there on trial. Even so, that was better than the experience I had at some other gyms. So far so good. This gym gets an A+ at the moment. I'll be trying out the swimming pool and group classes later this week. Total exercise time: ~ 30 minutes.
