I've heard of the Dresden Dolls before but I've never really taken much notice of them because their music isn't something I'd normally listen to. A friend of mine who's attending an Amanda Palmer gig, got me to watch a couple of YouTube videos and one of them was Shores of California.
I'm very much a lyrics person, i.e. one of the things I will notice about a song is its lyrics. I've been on a couple of singles and dating communities/forums for a while now, and observing the discussions on these sites has proved rather amusing. Anyway, I looked up the lyrics to Shores of California and parts of it were rather apt in describing the dating situation, especially
why all these conflicting specifications
maybe to prevent overpopulation
all I know is that all around the nation
