Anime Mania

I really dig anime, as I do with comics and other cartoons. Perhaps I'm still very much a child at heart. Generally I'm interested in anime that falls under the fantasy or sci fi category, or features one or more of the following: magic/witchcraft, killers/hitmen/women, vampires, racing.

In no particular order/ranking, my favourites are:
Anime series: (I'm probably going to miss some because I can't remember all of them)
- Claymore (one really touching scene between Teresa and Clare)
- Bleach (although I found it tiresome after so many episodes)
- Initial D (not the movie!)
- Hellsing
- Ghost in the Shell
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- Vampire hunter D
- Black Cat
- Samurai Champloo
- Witch Hunter Robin
- Noir
- Serial Experiments Lain
- Hell Girl
- Trinity Blood (love the opening soundtrack)
- Steamboy

Female characters:
- The Major (Ghost in the Shell)
- Robin (Witch Hunter)

Male characters:
- Alucard (Hellsing)
- Black Cat (I love my killers!)
- Amon (Witch Hunter Robin)

What? No Naruto? :P

if u like Full Metal, you should watch D Gray Man (on-going). There are striking similarities...although, there's a good chunk of episodes in the middle 30-50+ that are filler arc, not relating to the manga. so you should skip that if you have no patience like me keke

Hmm. OK, I'll check your recommendation out. No, no Naruto. It's a hideously long anime series just like Bleach is and to be honest, I didn't particularly like the one episode of Naruto that I caught. I think Naruto is overrated. :p

and which episode is that? you should know that Naruto has the most filler episodes of all the animes i've watched thus far. naruto episodes that cover the manga story are really good. but filler ones are so bad i couldnt sit through 5 mins.

i guess the studio is desperately milking it for all its worth by dragging the anime series as much as they can before it inevitably catches up the manga

Heh. I didn't know that...It was a while ago so I don't remember which Naruto episode I watched. Anyway, I'll pass on an over-long, not particularly enjoyable series.
